Microblading Manchester are committed to giving you the best pre-treatment advice in order to determine your suitability for microblading.  It is essential that this advice is followed in order to give you the best healed microblading results.  Please note that a skin test and consultation is essential to determine your suitability for the treatment and ensure that there are no allergies to the pigments or equipment used during the procedure, or any contraindications towards treatment.  Please contact us to arrange your pre-treatment consultation.  This must be carried out at least 48 hours prior to the microblading treatment itself.

Please note that Microblading is not suitable for the following:

  • Under 18yrs
  • Pregnant
  • Breastfeeding
  • Diabetic
  • Haemophilia or other blood clotting disorders
  • Those undergoing or having undergone chemotherapy within less than six months
  • Those taking Coagulants/blood thinning medication e.g. Warfarin or Aspirin
  • High/uncontrolled blood pressure
  • Severe allergies
  • Lupus
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Keloid scarring
  • Seborrhoea dermatitis
  • Albinism
  • Steroid treatment
  • Excessively oily skin
  • Broken capillaries (in brow area)
  • Acne
  • Moles in the direct area
  • Keratosis
  • Very dry or peeling skin


It is important to give some consideration prior to the treatment regarding the results that you want to achieve. Calculations will be made and pigments selected to redesign your brow shape for you, but you will be involved in the consultation process and your own preferences will be taken into consideration.  If you usually have your eyebrows threaded or waxed, please ensure this is done at least one week in advance of your microblading appointment.

Please refrain from the following prior to treatment treatment:

  • Waxing/threading – 7 days
  • Eyebrow tinting -14 days
  • Tanning/sunbed – 7 days
  • Botox or fillers – 15 days
  • Abrasive treatments e.g. skin peel/microdermabrasion – one month
  • Alcohol – 48 hours
  • IPL laser treatment – 14 days
  • Electrolysis – 5 days
  • Aspirin or ibuprofen – 48 hours
